Privacy policy
We keep what we need, and nothing we don't.
Version 1, effective October 5, 2026. This page covers three kinds of people: visitors to this site, businesses that email or hire us, and the customers of those businesses, who may get a text from a system we set up. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain it in plain words.
Sixteen clauses
What we collect, where it goes, and how to make us stop.
Written to be read, not skimmed. Clauses 2, 5 and 7 are the ones that matter most: this site collects nothing, here is every company that touches your data, and what to do if a business we set up texted you.
01Who we are.
Keepwrightꓘ is a sole proprietorship in Toledo, Ohio, reached at legend@keep-wright.com. We are the business responsible for the data described on this page. Our terms of service refer to this policy, and this policy is part of them.
02Visitors: this site collects nothing.
No analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts, no outside fonts. The calculator does its arithmetic in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. We honor Do Not Track in the only way that means anything: there is no tracking to turn off. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which keeps standard server logs (your IP address, browser type and the pages you request) under GitHub's privacy statement. We don't receive those logs and don't look at them.
03Clients and prospects: what we collect.
What you give us: your name, business name, email address, phone number, what you tell us about how your business handles calls and inquiries, and the access you grant us to do the work. When you pay by card, Stripe collects your payment details on its own pages; we see your name, email, the amount, and the last four digits of the card. We never see your full card number and never ask for it by email or phone.
04What we use it for.
To reply to you, to do the work you ordered, to bill you, to keep the email record our terms rely on, and to tell you about that work. That's the list. We don't sell your data, rent it, trade it, or use it for advertising, and we never add you to a mailing list you didn't ask for.
05Where it goes: the companies that touch it.
Your data passes through a short list of tools we use to run the business. Google Workspace holds our email and files. Stripe handles payments. GitHub hosts this site and keeps private backups of our working notes. DigitalOcean runs the server our assistant software lives on. The texting, scheduling and listing tools we set up for you are opened in your own name, so your customers' data sits in your accounts, not ours. Each company handles data under its own privacy policy. We don't use any that sells it. If this list changes, this page changes with it.
06Software assistants.
We use software assistants, including AI tools from Anthropic and OpenAI, to read, sort and draft email and to keep our notes. Text that passes through them is handled under those providers' business terms, which don't allow it to be used to train their models. A human reads and sends every email that leaves this business. The assistants work under the same confidentiality we do, and we stay responsible for their work.
07Your customers: if a business we set up texted you.
The business you called or messaged is the one that holds your number, in tools opened in its own name. We may see your number and your messages while setting up or supporting that system. We don't copy them, keep them, sell them, or text you ourselves. Reply STOP to any such text and the messages end; reply HELP for help. That business's own privacy policy governs what it does with your information. If you'd rather ask us, email us and we'll pass it on the same day.
08Businesses we email first.
Sometimes we email a local business we think we can help. We only use contact details the business published itself, on its own website or listing. Every such email says who we are, carries our postal address, and has a plain way to say stop. One reply, and we stop. We keep your address on our do-not-contact list, and nowhere else, so we never email you again by mistake.
09How long we keep things.
Order and billing emails: seven years, because tax records require it. Access to your tools: removed when the work ends. Audit materials and working notes about your business: deleted within 30 days of your request, or when we no longer need them for the work. Notes on businesses we reached out to that never replied: deleted after twelve months. Server logs: on GitHub's schedule, not ours.
10How we protect it.
This site is served over HTTPS. Accounts we set up are in your name with us added as a user, and we remove ourselves when the work ends. Our own accounts use two-factor sign-in. Passwords and card numbers are never sent by email. If something we hold about you is exposed, we tell you promptly, and in any case within the time Ohio law requires.
11Your choices.
Ask what we have on you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: one email does it. We answer within one business day and finish within 30 days. The exceptions are records the tax rules make us keep, and the email record of any work still in dispute. There is no account to close and no newsletter to leave.
12Children.
This site and our services are for business owners and are not meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe we have, tell us and we delete it.
13Where the data lives.
We are in Ohio, and the tools we use store data in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, you are sending your information here, and US law applies to it.
14Healthcare.
We don't take on medical, dental or other healthcare businesses, because patient information has legal protections our tools aren't certified for. If you send us patient information by mistake, we delete it and tell you.
15Changes.
New versions are posted here with a date and version number. If a change affects what we do with data we already hold, we email current clients before it takes effect.
